What is the NSF CISE REU Site PI Virtual Meeting 2021?

The National Science Foundation (NSF) Computer Information Science and Engineering (CISE) funds Research for Undergraduate Experiences (REU) sites across the nation. The REU Site PI Virtual Meeting 2021 will facilitate an open discussion forum among seasoned PIs, new PIs, and NSF CISE REU program officers on the state-of-practice of running succesful REU sites.

Who is the meeting aimed at?

This meeting is aimed at Principal Investigators (PI) of the active CISE-funded REU Sites , the PIs' teams, and the REU Program Officers.

Who is the meeting not for?

This meeting is not open to those simply interested in preparing a proposal to the REU site program, nor those interested in applying for REU supplements.

How is the meeting sponsored?

The meeting is sponsored by NSF. Since the meeting is being held virtually, participants are not expected to incur any travel expenses for participating in this meeting.

Where will the meeting take place?

The meeting will take place virtually through the Zoom video communication platform. More details about how to participate in this meeting will be send out to registered participants.

When will the meeting take place?

The program will span two days, from Monday February 22nd 2021 to Tuesday February 23rd 2021. The activities will start at 11AM CST on Monday and continue to Tuesday at 4:30PM CST.
